County of Monterey, JOC – White Road Creek Crossing

Work began in Late December 2024 on our County of Monterey Job Order Contract White Road Creek Crossing. The Cholame Creek near Parkfield, CA flowed at record velocities during the historic 2022 flood events. The river overflowed its banks, and County residents were stranded with limited access.  The County collaborated with Papich Construction and designed an Articulated Concrete Mat over crossing across the creek. Our crews successfully installed the concrete mats, and poured toe trenches, and regraded the road so that the residents could access their property for future generations.
